SUPER PEOPLE Reveals Sweeping Changes Coming with Its Revolution Update

Coming December 12th, battle royale Super People adds balance updates, battle pass and more.

Seoul, South Korea / Dec. 02, 2022 - After a hugely successful launch into Early Access back in October, developer Wonder People is continuing to update and bring sweeping changes to its battle royale title Super People. During a recent developer livestream, Wonder People announced a major update will be coming which will add a battle pass, brand new emotes and more! Don't forget to check out the Revolution page on GeeGee for more details.

Super People’s December 12, the Revolution update is designed to reduce overly complicated and unnecessary game mechanics leading to faster game progression and more dramatic battles, starting with the class system overhaul. The maximum class level has been lowered from 27 to 12 and the original 10 skills available for each class has been reduced to a total of 4, consisting of three skills and one ultimate ability.. Players will be able to access 3 skills excluding their ultimate as soon as the game starts.

This large-scale update will streamline the overly complicated game factors for faster and more fluid gameplay,” says Director Seong-gon Park, “Moving forward, we will actively improve the game by expanding on fun mechanics that our players enjoy and removing inconveniences.”

Two of the biggest changes on the horizon include a brand new Battle Pass with increased benefits such as new outfits and gold tickets which are rewarded with each mission players complete. Emotes have also been added to allow players to express themselves! Along with this, players exploring Orb Island will discover three new areas -  a bamboo forest, an eerie underground mine and the capsule research center.

Some other changes on the way involve the crafting of specialized weapons. This crafting ability has been removed and due to this change, looting for material will no longer be necessary. Gun and armor tiers have been reduced to 5 and 3 respectively, closing the difference in gear to make things more balanced. The goal is to prevent the player from wasting their time collecting unnecessary items and focus on the fight.

Additional changes coming with the December update include:

  • An update to the user interface has made it more intuitive.
  • Health bars will be displayed when players hit an enemy.
  • The current five types of super capsules will be redacted to two, gold and white. Material looting will be replaced with fierce competition to find super capsules.
  • Base movement speed and parkour speed have increased as well as adding the sliding ability to all classes.
  • As players level up faster in the early game, more players will be playing within the ice storm to encourage frequent battles.
  • Class selection has been reworked to allow more freedom. Gold spending has been changed to allow players to select the exact class they want and class selection no longer requires gold. The advantage given by spending more gold on personal supply will also be fixed.
  • The new battle pass offers increased benefits such as new outfits and gold tickets with each mission players complete. Emotes have also been added.
  • Explore the map and discover the brand new bamboo forest, eerie underground mine and capsule research center.
